Preah Bat Norodom Sihanouk,

King of the Kingdom of Cambodia,

-          Having seen the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia,

-          Having seen the Kret NS/RKT/1198/72 of November 30, 1998 on the Appointment of the Royal Government of Cambodia,

-          Having seen the Kret 02NS/94, dated July 20, 1994, promulgating the Law on the Organization and Functioning of the Council of Ministers,

-          Having seen the Kret NS/RKT/0399/72 of Mach 19, 1999 on the Creation of the Supreme Council for State Reform,

-          Pursuant to the proposal of the Prime Minister of Kingdom of Cambodia,

 

HEREBY ORDERS

 

Article 1:

There is formed a Council for Judicial System Reform as an entity supporting the operations of the Supreme Council for State Reform for judicial affairs and it shall be composed of the following members:

 

1) H.E. Dith Munty, President of the Supreme Court

Chairman

2) H.E. Ouk Vithun, Minister of Justice

Vice-Chairman

3) H.E. Ly Vouch Leng, President of the Appeal Court

Secretary General

4) H.E. Suy Nou, Secretary of State, Ministry of Justice

Member

5) H.E. Real Muon, Member of the Supreme Council of Magistracy

Member

6) H.E. Leng Peng Long, Member of the Council of Jurists

Member

7) H.E. Kranh Chey Leapy Tony, Member of the Council of Jurists

Member

 

Article 2:

The Council for Judicial System Reform shall have its office at the Office of the Council of Ministers.

 

Article 3:

The Council for Judicial System Reform shall have missions to initiate, promote, enforce, and follow up the implementation of judicial system reform programs and policies in compliance with objectives of the Council for State Reform, in particular, to strengthen the national judicial system.

 

Article 4:

Members of the Council for Judicial System Reform shall attend meetings called by the chairman.

 

Article 5:

Anukret shall determine the organization and functioning of the Council for Judicial System Reform.

 

Article 6:

The Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia shall effectively implement this Reach Kram from the date of signature herein.
