CSARO goal: Improve the communities capacity to develop itself for a sustainable future

The Community resource centre provides a small library of resources that are accessible for both staff and the communities CSARO works with. The centre continues to develop and grow. During 2005 an assessment of existing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials was completed. The center supports other CSARO programs by designing training and publicity materials as required. Materials produced during 2005 included:

• T-shirts, caps and banners promoting environmental hygiene awareness
• 1000 annual reports on CSARO's work in 2004
• 1000 leaflets explaining and promoting CSARO's work
• 500 calendars for 2006 promoting environmental improvement
• Education materials for CSARO training and outreach activities
