                            Last year we did advocacy and this year, we will do Legal Advocacy

                            (Meaning we advocate to implement the laws by local authorities to

    protect women from violence)

 

9:20-9:35             PADV to explain about their "Men Stop Violence" Project

9:55-10:30           Show video (Vigil Public Concert and WRC Activities, 2002) and WRC

    plan to spread to village levels for 2003.

 

10:30-10:50          The report of youth activities on violence, thief, rape, drugs and gangs

 

10:50-11:50         Men and Stress:

                            - Group discussion about the following:

    1.      What sort of problems give men stress and how do they usually relieve that   

            stress?

    2.      How does stress and men 's reactions to stress affect/cause violence against    

            women?

    3.      When men have these problems, who do they ask for help – other men or

            women?

    4.      Are laws enough to solve the problem of violence against women?

    5.      What services are there to help men who want to solve their problems of

            stress and anger? There are services for women in crisis, but what about for

            men? What do we need?

    6.      What other strategies can help men solve problems of stress?

 

    Other questions:

    1.      Are men happy about having a leader who is a woman, or does this contribute to their stress? Do they prefer a male boss or a female boss? Why?

    2.      Does women's empowerment make men nervous? If so, why?
