KID has an Executive Committee composed of a Chairman and six other members. The role of the Executive Committee is to provide guidance and advice to the Director and Managing Director of KID and to help with fundraising activities.

KID is headed by a Director and managed by a Managing Director. Both are ex-officio members of the Executive Committee.

KID has a total of 35 staff who work in the following sections:

- program section
- legal unit
- administration
- finance

The Institute also has 42 partners and 184 citizen advisors who help to implement its program activities in 7 provinces in Cambodia.
