MEDiCAM library /"Documentation Corner"

Library Catalogue

MEDiCAM library now contains over a thousand and half books and documents related to health, and mostly health in Cambodia. They are reports of activities, evaluation or study findings reports, publications, essays, official guidelines, protocols and regulations for the health sector, etc. They originates for a large range of actors from the health sector in Cambodia -- NGOs, UN agencies (WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNDP, UNAIDS, etc), bilateral agencies (GTZ, French Cooperation, USAID, JICA, ODA, etc) -- who kindly deliver free copies of their self-produced documents to MEDiCAM on a regular basis (may be them thanked here).

MEDiCAM library is located at nš140, Street Pasteur (51), Phnom Penh. It is open to all although members benefit of the priority and other specific advantages.

The library is still on the making, and MEDiCAM welcomes all voluntary help to finish its installation.

You wish to order documents:
For the books and documents for which MEDiCAM has not been authorized to photocopy, please contact directly the original editor. For those for which MEDiCAM did receive the authorization by the author and sponsor to photocopy, you may pass here an order. The cost is the one specified in the database. It correspond to to the cost of the photocopy plus (for international organizations, and foreigners) a little more to offset the sale of the document at a much cheaper price to Cambodian NGOs. You will naturally receive an Official Receipt, duly stamped and signed.

You wish to consult documents:
As MEDiCAM currently disposes of a very small work space, it is preferable that people inform in advance of their coming so that to ensure that the library room -- which is also the main reception and meeting room -- will be available that day. Moreover, in order to spare you time, you may inform us in advance which documents you are interested to consult so that the staff may prepare them for you. Naturally, we kindly ask to respect your appointment then Please, note that staff assistance and availability is pending on their priority workload

Please, note that we are for the moment unable to lend documents outside the MEDiCAM premises.
