Phnom Penh 03-05.Feb.2006: "Buy Cambodian Products Trade Fair"
Wathnakpheap attended the 3-day Trade Fair under title "Buy Cambodian Products" which was held
by ILO/ISED in cooperation with GTZ . With the total of 120 booths, many NGOs and companies
showed their Cambodian products and services in trade fair infront of Botom Pagoda, Phnom Penh.
During that occasion, Wathnakpheap and its partner "WARLPICH
Community Enterprise", a network of 26 community enterprises,
proudly presented various sorts of products from community to the public.
WarlPich Products presented in Trade Fair were Kak mats, rattan mats, Romchot mats,
bamboo furnitures, classic musical instruments, clothings, bags, silk products,
souveniors, food ...etc

Svay Rieng 01.Jan.2006: Skill Training at Career and Resource Center
The second promotion of Tailoring skill training with donored budget from TAF have been
operated at Svay Rieng Career and Resource Center since early January 2006,
where 12 trainees from family in especially difficulties circumstances
have attended the 12-month training.

29-12-05: Agricultural Activities of Model Farmers
Model farmers and agricultural students in Cambork commune who were previously
provided seeds by WP Svay Rieng is now using those seeds to plant the vegetable
in their houses. The plant is growing nicely, some farmers have sold their vegetable
and earn money to support their families

26-12-05: New Pre-School Building in Tanu Village
A new preschool building has started building in Tanu village, Cambork Commune,
Svay Chrum District, Svay Rieng province. The wooden building with iron roof is
built on a village's public land using the budget funded by ILO/IPEC of USD $391.90 and 915,000 Riel.

23-12-05: Community Development Concept Training in Svay Rieng
WATHNAKPHEAP Organization has conducted a 3-day training on Community Development Concept
which held from 21 to 23 December 2005 at Svay Rieng Department of Women Affair.
The training with 21 attendants (from Svay Rieng, Siem Reap, and Pursat) aimed at sharing
knowledges and experiences that trainers have encountered in Community Development for almost
10 years.
After the training, trainees promised to use all their best knowledges they have acquired during
the training to develop their communities effectively.

During the month of October 2005, Wathnakpheap Svay Rieng has operated 4 training
courses(motobike repairing, hair cut, letter cutting, and hair dressing )
with 1 trainee each was operated at private workshops.
All trainees were choosen from family living in difficulty curcumstances.

Mat weaving training was held at Chambok commune, Pursat province
with donored budget of ILO/IPEC.
26-Sep-05
Upon the donored budget from Smitchz-Hille Foundation(SHF), Wathnakpheap Svay Rieng
has operated skill training on baboo furniture making for people in Chambork commune,
Svay Chrum District.
16-Sep-05
With full of supports from ChristianAid and DED, WATHNAKPHEAP has
successfully expanded its program of Community-based Rehabilitation
and Development of Children and Youth who have been and at risk
of trafficking and labor exploitation in the remote communities
of Chikreng district, Siem Reap province.
