Marketing Mix: Marketing Strategies:

*Current Products: Handbags for tourists, Ornaments, Stuffed Animals, Slippers, Wallets, Placemats, Portfolios, Picture Frames, Book Covers, Pot Holders, Caps, Sacks, Clutches, Purses, Christmas Ornaments/Cards, Greeting Cards, etc.. Most Products are made of Cambodian silk.

Silk Fabrics, Silk Scarves and Silk Hangers, and Leather Carvings: Book Covers, Key Rings, Calendar Holders, Eye-glasses Cases, Purses, Name Card Holders...

 

*Pricing: The business costs in producing a product can be divided into three main categories: Materials, labor, and overhead costs.  Material is all the things that go into the product that is received by the customers.  Labor is the cost of the time and money that we must pay our workers and ourselves to make the products.  Overhead is everything else.  Most overhead costs are covered by finding funds from other organizations or foreign and local donors and some from sales, such as, advertisement through newspapers, water, electricity, location, medication, cleanliness, office supplies and transportation.  See the Price list !

 

*Total cost of product = Cost of material + Cost of labor + Cost of overhead. Total cost of product + Profit = Selling price or Selling price - Total cost of product = profit.

 

*Place and People CHA workshops and programs are location on House # 52, 113St., Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang 3, Khan Chamcar Mon, Phnom Penh and Tukvill workshop and Preah Dark workshop in Siem Reap Province, northern part of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

 

Trainees and producers come form the provinces of Kompong Cham, Kompong Chhnang, Kompong Thom, Kandal, Takeo Provinces and Phnom Penh. Upon Completion of the training phase, many tailoring and weaving trainees graduated to the production workshops, and spent an additional 12-months phase refining their skills, studying businesses and producing items, clothing or handicrafts for sales through the CHA Showroom and other outlets.

 

*CHA workshops and programs will try to do marketing strategies, as the followings:

*Improve quality of products

*Improve quality control/systems

*Set up letters, brochures, pamphlets & advertisement

*Contact fair trade Organizations and communicate with similar organizations in the country and exhibition abroad so that we can exchange the ideas in regional sectors.

 

*Communication with the Markets

  Our programs have been creating ways to persuade customers to buy our products. We try to let customers know about our products, and we have a good longstanding reputation and logo is well know about Cambodian Handicrafts. Usually our products are distinguishable from products of other outlets and organizations. We have participated in various trade shows and crafts fairs in Bangkok (Thailand), New Deli (India), California (USA), Olso (Norway), Lao. P. D. R (Vientiane) and in the local country at crafts fairs for advertisement and promotions of the products. All of these opportunities have helped us to build a name for ourselves increasing sales.
